Timing The Real Estate Market

Timing the real estate market is always more difficult than we think. We cannot do much other than look at the current market conditions which consist of property availability and interest rates. The local real estate market has homes or property investments for all types of buyers. The buyers that will occupy the property and the buyers that want it as an investment property. Now if you are looking to buy a house to live in I would think this a good time to buy. I would assume that you pay rent, and rents these days are relatively high. If I pay 1500/month rent and I can borrow 300k today to buy a house with a 30 year fixed loan at 4.25% interest, my monthly payment would be $1,469/month. You need decent credit and  maybe a 5% down payment. It would make a lot of sense to buy in a good neighborhood with a good school district in the 1100sq.ft to 2000sq.ft range. These prices exist in good neighborhoods. So get out there, and find a good lender and a sharp real estate agent.  Your agent should be able to find the right property to fit your needs, there are plenty of opportunities right now. Let me know if I can be of any help.
